this is my dining table. so it would have to be same type style

I think walking towards a mirror from the front door is icky. Often there is glare, and often people aren't looking their best. Photo or art print is better.

No rug by the demilune table.

You have room for a full round table with two small ottomans underneath--practical and attractive. Get a round white table--maybe an antique with great lines that you can paint white. Add black and white modern ottomans and a long mirror.

What you really need is a long runner, or pathway, into your house. Black and white with maybe a touch of floor tiles would echo the staircase and railings. It's possible to get bound runners cut to size from rolls of regular carpeting. The rug you have is actually a good pattern and color but you need a runner

I think a round table would work there -- scale it to the wall with the picture on it, to be sure it feels at home and doesn't block walkways.

im so thankful for everyones thoughts! So compared to round tables, what about these types of tables?? I think dark would be best with the light floor?

I'd let the stairs have the visual by itself with its dark / light and its shape.

This I like cause it's rounded, and soft like floor color:

i like that but when we did the dimensions it still left half the wall open and would look bare

Nice thing about dark is that it has a vertical shape when seen with your nice photo - wedding?!

By 'bare' - is that the side of the stairs with lessening amount of drywall [next to stairs]... to me, not a problem.

Agree with acm's suggestion...round table scaled to that corner.

    railings are brown

Ah, that was hard to tell. Then get a round table that echoes the dining table and railings and a rug that does so as well.

lisamarie, the Wayfair table has a pretty cutout detail, which might not 'show' unless you leave it open. It 'breaks up' the tile angles. The Balisier was nice...

Your third option had a furry ottoman on display -- you could have an item at the side too - plant, umbrella stand,..

Why not a round or rectangular table - in a neutral-ish color -

Imo, with so many upholstery patterns, you could highlight that space, which is so neutral, with many styles too. You could have a small round table too maybe.
