Would suggest going with a simple white backsplash to keep the design nice and crisp. It will compliment well with the wood wall cabinets and white base cabinets without clashing.

Thank you!

I actually really like it how it is with the slightly textured neutral wall but if you are set on tile I would go uber basic like @CAGE Design Build suggests (especially since it seems like tile is dated in about 18 months these days) - you have a lovely kitchen!

A white tile with some texture on the wall behind the sink.

IF you WANT that area to be the focal point, how about brown:

Keep it white and simple because you have dark wood ceilings and cabinets. Cool kitchen!

You need a backsplash because……? The textured wall looks fine to me and it’s only the splash from the sink not a cooktop, right? I would do no tile.

Agreed. You don’t need. I’d take the countertops up the sink wall a couple inches.

Oh my goodness. I must say this: that is a gorgeous kitchen. I just love the way it looks with those stools, the beams, the windows. You clearly have vision. Let's see what others say. I hope Beth chimes in, the backsplash wizard.

A warm white tile I’ll work but I agree with the others that the textured wall looks pretty great. It complements the simple, MCM style. The kitchen already looks great.

If you do anything, something exactly the color it is now.

1. Slab backsplash- the one you used for your countertop.

2. Plastered stone

3. Raw limestone plastered walls

It looks like you might be able to do a brown, white, or cream tile if you really feel you need a backsplash. Here are a few ideas from some of our designs:
