Lighting Design Dilemma Kitchens

What size pendant lights over 9x3' kitchen island?

We are picking out lighting for the house that is under construction. We are stumped as to pendant size over our kitchen island. The island is 9 feet long and 3 feet wide. Ceilings in the room are 9 feet tall. We are planning to hang 3 pendants over the island. Thanks in advance for your advice!

Kelley - you’ll probably get lots of input here :) - my island is 5x10 (so a bit wider and a tad bit longer) but my pendants are “tiny” - but they’re our style (modern) and I’m sure some would say they’re too small. I say pick what you like!
