Range hood question

Hello! I saw a home online that I'd like to view with my realtor but I have a question about the range over the stove. It's visibly plugged into an outlet. The cord isn't hidden. I've never seen this before. Is this something an electrician can hide? I tried uploading a photo for my post but I just couldn't get it to attach so I will see if I can attach it in a comment.

    It’s likely to have a whole lot more oddities with the electrical and all the rest of the DIY flipping. NOTHING in that pic is well done or normal. Using a range and range hood meant to be against a wall and puttng them on a peninsula, crammed in a corner is bad. What is truly worse is that they obviously jacklegged the wall removal themselves. And everything else…..RUN.
