But if you make the doors taller, equal to the height of the terrace doors, the first floor would look like a public dining room. Why should it be equal to the terrace door? I would install victorian doors - they are as high, and can let in a lot of light even when closed, there are models with glass. But they look nice and sophisticated, but bulky.
