I like to wonder ”ooh, what’s through THAT doorway?”, or enter a house, be greeted and welcomed, then be led around a corner to a beautiful view, whether the view is of the outdoors or a lovely space. There are many ways to do this, with the layout and with the materials and trims.

We can’t see the plan, but if you can figure out how to post it, maybe some suggestions will be coming. In the meantime, tell your architect exactly what you just told us, and as mainenell said, you don’t want ”open concept”.
