In my last house I was always catching my clothes on my drawer pulls. They looked like this. Easy to use but too easy to get caught on.

Those that you pictured should be okay they don't seem to really have much sticking out to catch things on.

we have the type in littlebug's photo and I have never caught on them, but I know others say they do. The only time it's an issue is when I have a lanyard hanging from my pocket. It will always snag on the handles.

They do catch, had them in my last kitchen. I went with squared off pulls in my current kitchen. If I had to do it again, maybe a bit rounded would have a better feel

If they have a simple clean return, meaning no ends sticking out past the point where the pulls fasten to the cabinets, then no. Catching on things isn’t a worry

This is great help from all of you, and the photos are especially useful so I can visualize.

@lucky998877 seems to have pulls that are somewhat similar to what I am contemplating (they also have a double bar) and hasn't had snagging issues.

@Lisa Dipiro--I have also looked at some that are similar to yours. What is the measurement between the screws on yours?

I had the same concern as you. Mine are smooth at the ends. I have two sizes on drawers and knobs on upper doors.

@julieste that's why I posted a picture...very similar in style but my ends bend back towards the drawer, your picture bends out.

So, it's iffy on the black ones I had been contemplating (first photo). Definitely no straight across Ts with long ends sticking out.

I am glad to hear the 3" hole to hole size with curved pulls like @Lisa Dipiro pictured are wide enough for easy use. I am not a fan of long pulls and want something smaller.

I have pulls that never get caught.

Mine are squared off and even then we don’t have issues with clothing catching on them. You should be fine as long as nothing is sticking out on the ends.

My pulls stick out on the ends and I have never caught clothing on them. It would seem that it really depends on how tall you are and what type of clothing you wear.

We have had the same ones as littlebug's photo in 3 different kitchens. Never a problem with catching on anything.

I put Restoration Hardware's Spritz pulls on the cabinets in my old house. The ends are shorter than the ones @littlebug zone 5 Missouri posted. I never had an issue catching pants on them, though it's happened in other houses to me before.

I do think how far the ends protrude and how smooth the edges are makes a difference.

In my experience, you only get caught on them when you're already slightly irritated and rushing around, and then you get caught with speed that jerks you back and adds to the irritation. :) We also had some in the bathroom, and curling iron etc cords get caught on them. We're eliminating the T bar pulls in our remodel.

I ripped my favorite pair of khaki shorts on a handle that looks exactly like the ones littlebug posted. It was a wicked tear, no saving the shorts. I'd caught myself a few times prior but never had damaged anything before. I was sad enough I replaced all the handles....

I agree it depends on how tall you are and what kind of clothes you wear. Just chiming in to say yes it really does happen - and when it does happen, sometimes it's your favorite pair of perfectly-broken in shorts...

I have ones like Littlebug posted, with long ends, and have never gotten caught. I wonder if it has to do with space. We have plenty of space between the island and perimeter cabinets. So never walk that close to the pulls.

I used to get my bathrobe caught on the pulls near the kitchen sink. All my favorite bathrobes have snaps all the way down the front. Perfect for catching.

I’ve had the ones littlebug posted and the many curse words my docile husband used convinced me to never use them again.

I think you may have convinced me to use nothing where there are open ends that stick out.

I'm trying to get a visual on how your boot lace could be high enough up to catch on a drawer pull. This must haves been a really low drawer.

My lowest ones are only about a foot or so off the ground. Yes a funny visual (as long as no one got hurt anyway), but entirely possible. Work boots tend to have stiff laces, so think a high loop. LOL.

I've broken two drawers in life and I don't want to break a third. I always buy suspenders that don't stick out so I can't catch clothes on them.

I'm rather liking this one. It is a clean, sleek design with no protrusions to snag clothing.

I did my kitchen 12 years ago - this only happened once in all that time and was no big deal. I’d probably do it differently today, but for esthetic reasons. It wouldn’t stop me if I really wanted them.

Make sure the counter overhang is the right size and I have never had an issue with this in my last 2 homes with the exact same pull as this and all in proportion to the cabinets and drawers so some are actually very long.

Yes they do catch clothes. I remember my dad telling me about one of his clients in the 1970s....remember the handles that had pointy spires on the ends back in those days? He told me a story about a kid climbing up on to the counter...slid back down and the handle caught his leg and tore him up pretty bad. Good thing pointy hardware handles aren't really made anymore.....I hope! That sounded awful!

That is a nice handle, until you look at the price. $30 each for a 5" pull is out of my price range.

I am at the finish line with a kitchen remodel where I did all drawers below counter level and ended up using drawer pulls for everything. I’ve never had a problem with them catching but the style pull I used doesn’t lend itself to that.
