A dark navy or forest green with white or cream trim would be lovely.

That reddish roof is going to be a problem in selecting a stain for your siding.

Beautiful home! I would consider staining in a grey or black, and replace the roof to a grey or charcoal, and remove the retractable tarps. I don’t think the deck will look bad at all once that’s done— looks like it’s in good condition and a nice color. I love the door color but the stained glass does not fit the home at all. Congratulations again.

I think a tonal paint/stain with trim/garage doors a shade darker than the walls. I agree with BeverlyFLADeziner that you want to be careful working with the roof. For your pretty woodland setting a natural shade, closer to the tree bark. Maybe change light fixtures to something modern, simple can lights would go.

I would remove all the white picket fencing and archway shown it photo #1; it is way too Victorian for your modern home! I would also upgrade all the light fixtures to a more contemporary style and at least 1/3 of the front door's height. I'm a fan of charcoal and cedar, but that may be too extreme for you. @decoenthusiaste Thank you for your input.  I actually love charcoal and the stained wood in your inspo pics.  I guess my only concern would be that the house would be too dark in such a wooded area? I agree with the light fixtures and that is an easy fix! Unfortunately raising the front door might be an issue as my ensuite bathroom is above the doorway on the second floor.  What do suggest as another fence that would look better? We are hoping to pave that section of the backyard.

Thanks Liz H! The tarps have got to go! The front deck and back deck need replacing. During inspection they said there was issues with the risers and how it was built.  Could have been code back then but no longer up to code.

I was referencing the height of the new lights as being 1/3 of the door's height, not raising the door any. I like a home to retreat into the woods, but I'm a fan of dark colors, especially if they can match the surrounding tree trunks somewhat. As for the fence, the style selection should happen after the house upgrade so you get something that works with it. Here are lots of ideas.
