Metal mixing is fine, but best when the color is repeated somewhere else., so add something gold in your decor items.

Those lights would not work for me with the bare exposed bulbs. They could be fine if you have plenty of recessed lights and only plan to use the pendants for dimmed mood lighting.

@chisba We have plenty of recessed lighting. These 3 pendant lights will be above the island.

I voted for the cube because every time you dust the round flat one you will have to re align it with its friends...

@HALLETT The flat ones have rigid cable covers that are actually better at holding the pendant lights in a steady position. ;)

I guess I like the presence of the bulk of the cube. The round are very interesting look but somehow reminiscent of a holiday--look more temporary some how.

NOne if all you have is Edison bulbs . IMO island lighting should light the island and so down lights for but IMO LED 4000K is the type of bulb you want .
