Are you looking to remove the housings (aka "cans") from the soffits?

I would just replace the cans with led cans that are sealed so you don’t see the bulb.

I'd replace those fixtures with outdoor rated LED cans. From the large amount of rust I see on your existing fixtures, it looks like what was installed was not appropriate for this location. They're going to continue to deteriorate, so now would be a good time to fix this if possible.

I looked in the big box stores yesterday and couldn’t find any outdoor rated cans:(

Look for wet location, like this:

I would not choose the Commercial Electric recessed light linked above. That light's lens is not recessed so light will shine everywhere: into the yard, onto walls, into windows. Instead get this recessed light (Lithonia Lighting 6JBK RD 27K 90CRI ORB M6 7" LED Baffle Recessed Trim whose lens is recessed into the housing and whose light will be more directed downward. Here are the specs. Control with a compatible dimmer listed on the spec sheet.

Dark Sky Guidelines for Outdoor Lighting:

"lighting should

• Only be on when needed
• Only light the area that needs it
• Be no brighter than necessary
• Minimize blue light emissions
• Be fully shielded (pointing downward)"*

I’m not sure those covers will work. I have the can that has the slots for a hook and spring

Ok I’ll keep looking. That’s what I was looking for in the first place. Can’t seem to find any.

Went to 2 big box stores. Can’t find a cover that will work or a retrofit fixture either one. All are made for the torsion style springs and not the hook and coil springs :(
