Laundry Room Appliances Design Dilemma

Raising height of stackable washer/dryer

Hello Houzz family,

Has anyone ever raised the height of their stackable? They make pedestals for single units but not for stackables. I am wondering if anyone has had a pedestal built to accommodate this. I have the LG Washertower which has controls in the center so raising it won't make controls out of reach. I literally have to get on the floor to empty the washer. Thoughts anyone??

Wouldn't the dryer be awfully high then? I'm taller than average and I wouldn't want my dryer to be any higher than it already is, not that I'm really disagreeing with you about how low the washer is. That being said, it's your house, so if you have room in your laundry closet, go for it! Just do it in such a way that it is easily removable for the next person.

Those LG Washer towers look beautiful! I'm too short to even contemplate this (will never stack my Washer/Dryer again) but here's a similar discussion that may help.

I was using a very low washer in my building and my solution for retrieving stuff was one of the picker upper sticks. I got mine on Amazon and it has come in handy for retrieving stuff from other places I can’t reach well. It isn’t suitable for breakable stuff but is perfect for clothing and the like.
