Need help how can i get this look for my bedroom ?? some sources?

i am so in love with this bedroom but as it is guestroom so my husband thinks this is so feminine , would not be ok for male guests ??

    Best suggestion for small budget...
    First thing...find desired color bedspread or pillows or fabric to make your own.
    Second, choose two paint colors to match fabric.
    Third, paint wall.
    1) Apply first color, your choice light or dark.
    2) When dry apply painters tape to create grid 16"x16" squares.
    3)Apply second color using a sea sponge in each square to achieve desired look.

    Now, find lamps and bench you love. Bench and headboard frame can be painted to match or they can be different as in photo. Costco has some nice lamps that come in a two pack!

    If the bench can be reupholstered...find some great fabric and go for it...it's not too difficult.
    If you find a solid bench with no upholstery, make a cushion for it.

    As for headboard it's really easy to build one using plywood, quilting batting, and fabric...all you need is a staple gun or thumb tacks. Wrap the batting around plywood and staple or tack in a few places to secure. Now wrap the fabric and secure it. Viola you've almost done.

    Now go to picture frame store or craft supplier like Michaels...and find the desired frame style, and purchase enough to frame the headboard you just built! Paint it if need be and attach to the wall around the headboard. If you do not find the framing materials or it is too expensive, then find a stencil and paint it on the wall. Same can be done for the Headboard...paint it on the wall rather than building it...but the real thing would be much nicer if possible. Great way to try it out before committing.

    Headboard and frame can be secured to the wall using double sided foam tape...for fairly easy removal with minimal damage.

    Hope this has inspired you to go for it...and any man that has high self esteem will be a happy guest no problem! After all, they will be asleep the second their head hits the pillow, and if they are not I'm sure they have something more important to look at! ;-D Best of luck...Got for it and love it!

      I do think its pretty feminine for male guest.I would go with a pale pink and not hot pink and chocolate brown.Cant go wrong with a good compromise!IThe gold would still work well with those colors.The two most expensive things look like the bench at the end of the bed and the headborad.Those could be easy DIY projects with good upholstery fabric and paint.

      This is your house not a hotel - you don't need to appeal to guests. Go with what you like and don't mind them! But the black accents do add some masculinity to the room. :)

      I actually think this dark, deep raspberry pink with brown would be more appealing to a male guest than a lighter, pale pink. Just my two cents.

      Get your fabric and have it color matched...it's unlikely that you will find this exact color of fabric!! The headboard wall, comforter and bench are all the same fabric! Duralee has a beautiful pink fabric line!

      There are some elements in this space such as the headboard, lamps , night stands and bench that I feel both genders who appreciate. The combination of color is bold. I feel male guests could be quite comfortable here in your home.

      As for whether you should go with satin and gloss, or eggshell and gloss...to what are you referring this going on?

      Typical paint finishes go from Flat (no sheen), Satin, Eggshell, Pearl, Semi-Gloss, Hi-Gloss...depending upon which company you purchase your paint from they may using a different term.

      Flat is typically used on ceilings. Eggshell is most common for walls. Semi-gloss is typical for trim, base, doors. Hi-gloss is often used on handrails and furniture where one desires higher sheen...which can also of course be used on all trim and doors as well.

      Some people prefer to use a Satin finish on walls, as it has less sheen, but it also is not as scrubbable and therefore not used in kitchens and bathrooms much.

      It is all personal preference as to how 'washable' you need the walls to be. Rooms with kids and dogs require this consideration more than a guest room for adults.

      It also depends on how much direct light is hitting a wall...a flatter finish will show fewer imperfections. Hopefully this information has been helpful in assisting you to make the decision regarding which paint finish to select.

      As Exciting Windows suggested, as did I in my first comment, choose your fabric and then your paint colors...and of course if you want a near perfect match, the easiest way is to take the fabric to a paint store of your choice and have the paint custom made. I do believe you can find paint colors you like without going to the hassle of matching though...as they don't need to be exact. You want variations to make it more alive and fun!

      You can make (or have a seamstress make) a reversible duvet...chartreuse or chocolate on one side for the male guests, and the pink you love on the other. You can put a more masculine print on the bench to balance out the feminine, such as a stripe or herringbone.

      First you have to look at this picture from your own house eye view with all the surrounding details if its copied to your space it may or may no fit
      Second if you think it's too feminine just make the behind the bed wall gray and You can DIY the bed headboard or get an online picture wood frame in gold as here or silver and good fabric you can

      You could easily paint whatever you find. Try Craigslist......you might find some interesting and cheap options.

      i would love to paint but they are tufted velvet and iam not good in reupholstering ... yes iam daily checking local craigslist for any antique headboards. or may be i have to do it myself with some old plain headboard.
