My Strata hired a contractor to paint exterior stucco wall using Dowsil Allguard silicone elastomeric coating. There are hundred of vent hoods(metal) supposed to use acrylic enamel. However the painter painted the vent hood using Dowsil Allguard Silicone Elastomeric Coating as well. The Project Manager argued Silicone is a more premium product that has no bonding issue. I know arcylic enamel is oil base and Allguard silicone is water base. Would someone advise if this works okay. What will be the solution if this has to be redone. Thank you very much.
