2. Yes, you still have to add Borax.

(I have a home water softener system and still need the Borax.)

Pat - I used this version last summer on hubby's poly wicking golf shirts and it worked well for us in removing and preventing odor. I add a bit of Borax because of the sunscreen, sweat and fact that it is that stinky athletic fabric. So far, I am pleased.

Like Cavimum, I also have sweaty athletic clothes to clean so Borax really helps boost this version of All F&C.

But I found something better than All F&C. It is the Target Everspring brand liquid laundry detergent. 7 enzymes and unscented. It cleans very well.

Everspring Free & Clear Liquid Detergent

There are scented versions but they are faint and disappear after drying.

I mainly got this for the enzymes, not so much because of the "green" aspect, as I have been very disappointed by other "green" brands.

I note that the word 'benzene' is part of the word "alkylbenzenesulfonic" in the ingredients list. Benzene is a bad word to me for personal reasons so I will be re-evaluating my use of ALL FREE CLEAR ODOR RELIEF tomorrow. I like it so much, of course.

Do you still like Target's Everspring detergent?

hi Pat, sorry it took me so long to reply to you. I liked the Everspring for its cleaning power, but it suds a lot with my soft water so I had to add extra rinses. Trying to conserve water here.
