Most of my home has aged bronze/almost black door handles, furniture hardware, etc. I also have a satin nickel/silver type of accents in some areas of the house. I have recently also started really liking gold or a soft gold.

We are redoing our kitchen and I was tempted to utilize gold for the handles but I feel like I might be mixing too much now. Any thoughts/ideas if this is still like a "rule" to follow? Our kitchen will be mainly white -- flooring is still TBD but probably grey tiles so gold might not work anyway but wanted some thoughts.
