Perhaps a rug compatible with your furniture style and the color of your bedding would be best.

Decide your style for the room

Don’t be afraid to head more MCM eclectic don’t focus solely on rug. Consider how you want room to feel overall; bedding/art/rug all come into play, so have a plan. Search for room combinations you are drawn. Room below for instance could be a nice mix with your walls.

You could use a cream/black rug and add various green shades in your other choices.

My advice is to select the furniture and bedding design for the room and then select the area rug.

Thank you, Maureen.

Another good point for furnishing first is to be able to accurately pick the right size rug … in some layouts it makes more sense to lay the rug crosswise and not underneath the side tables.. or to allocate the right amount of rug at the bedside… where the doors or walkways will need to be….maybe you can save money by using runners on each side of the bed?.. in your case the offset window can change what rug is best…we don’t even know where your bed will be placed..
