What a comfy looking room. You have lots of solid color there, would you consider a pattern? Spoon flower has so many different artists with fabric collections. You can choose by color, style (floral, mid century, etc.). I just received fabric from there for a Roman shade that I’m having made for the kitchen, the fabric is really nice.

Eaw 513- I would have a really hard time picking fabric online - glad it worked for you

I love the yellow, but you'll have the repeat the color in pillows, etc., as there isn't enough to justify it in the room right now. For the room as-is, I'd do the blue.

@jonesj I totally understand. It was very time intensive for me. That having been said, yellow IS my favorite color so I like the mustard drapes as long as you add some fun pillows to your sofa! Target had some great pillows with cream and mustard recently, not sure if any had blue too. The pic is of the fabric that I found at Spoonflower and the wallpaper (on one wall of laundry room that is open to the kitchen) sample was customed at love vs design. I also have one (still waiting for #2) counter stool upholstered in a mustard basket slub fabric called Dijon from West Elm. #TeamMustard 😁

I think I like yellow. I don't like that blue one blends with the couch.

I will also suggest a patterned drape to liven up the space.

Personally I think they both look heavy. I would find some that are close to your wall color- an off white. Good luck!

Either of the curtains can work; it really depends on what you like. It’s your space.

If you choose the yellow, it would be good to bring in some additional yellow and/or warm tone accents. Also, imo, even if you choose the blue, adding some warmer tones to the space could be nice.

Cream or off white would be better, and the rod and curtains should extend to the corner

Sofa is blue? so I like blue curtains on that side.

Chair is grey? so I like yellow art/curtain.

Small room with interesting rug, etc... the black rod makes gold too vibrant. If the sofa.. were grey, hey is it?

I guess I vote for 'slate blue' curtains.

everdebz are you saying that the blue couch may not go with the grey chair? Prob wasn’t the best choice but it’s done- because of this maybe I should be going for off white curtains and bring color in with accessories???

Not at all, it's very nice, especially if the 'textured' rug has blue and grey.

Question: what is the room for? and what mood/ vibe do you want? Yellow art is fresh and casual, and might be a linking bridge, or not.

Good curtains are very expensive. I would go with a tone on tone or textured, same color as your walls. They should be 2 1/2 times the width of the window. Pull out the yellow and blue with other soft furnishings, which can be replaced less expensively.

A houzzer mentioned patterned curtains, not necessarily colorful.... I bet adding one more pillow would add "enough" yellow... do you have another?

The ones you show are just another block of color like your sofa and chair. A patterned curtain will add some interest to the room so keep looking!

I move the blue panel to this side- this curtain does have some texture to it, the daisy art has a dk blue background so I’m liking this- and I’m looking for a mustard toss pillow or two- maybe in a pattern?

I like that very much - rug has, curtain has.. you added pillow which seems to fit. :)

The pattern and sheen of other pillow seemed a 'no' imo... sheen looks better in a curtain?

Here's another layer that I thought of --

Another thing about yellow curtain - from here, it looks quite gold almost with brown... it dulled the room. Maybe this matches the pretty flowers.

It wasn't bad color, but with both grey and blue, no, a bit too many variations imo.

If- you went with those curtains- this seems a soft 'warm' called yellow. It's almost a camel color neutral.

I believe grommet header drapes call for a thicker rod than you have, the skinny rod seems better for gathering rod pocket sheers. Try multiple white sheers (are the shades white or off-white?) for fullness gathered on skinny black rod across the bay window, and a panel of the blue drapes on a rod on each end just to cover the wall.
