Best Pottery Barn fabric for cat claws?

Hi! I am about to order a $7k Pottery Barn sectional, and before I drop that kind of cash, I want to make sure I order something that will hold up to my kids and pets. I currently have an Arhaus sofa with some expensive performance Sunbrella fabric. I tested the swatch on my cat beforehand and it was supposedly stain resistant, but it stains easily, and the cat was still able to claw it pretty good. In my experience, microfiber has been the only thing that holds up to the claws, but its just so cheap looking. Im looking at PB's Sunbrella Performance Boss herringbone and Performance Chenille swatches. Anyone have experience with these fabrics and kitty claws? How did things hold up?

Put citrus peels under your upholstered furniture and the cats will stay away. Refresh every few weeks. This has worked for twenty years with different fabrics AND different cats.

An interesting question I wish I could help with. I loved my kitties totally but I do not miss my ruined furniture now that the cats are gone. Can you get a large piece of each fabric and put it taut on something and place it where the cats like to scratch and see what happens?

You may already have this, but the only thing that deterred my cats from scathing was putting large carpeted cat trees at the corners of furniture that were fav scratch spots. Sure looked goofy, but it really gave them a better alternative and saved what was left of my good fabric.

When the last kitty died of old age, I had a kitty garage sale and gave them all away.

Did you ever end up finding something you were happy with? Out of a bunch of swatches I liked, a PB rep mentioned sunbrella Sahara weave was pretty tightly woven so not so easy for cats to scratch up.
