We are in the middle of construction and reno. made new closet both side in the hallway and you can see from inside of living room something feels off and closets are 2 feet deep and looks bulky and odd

i dont know how to make it look more grand and seamless..

i will attach the photo that looks much better than mine, how can I trun mine to improve ? currently space for side jambs are only 4-5” width..

where I circled in Red is maybe awkward as its too narrow ? is it only me who thinks its odd? any input would be appreciated!
