I would place the chair/chaise near the window with a tall plant behind it and your floor lamp off to the side and then center the TV and stand in the remaining space.

Is there an outdoors view - corner position for chair?

to answer your laundry question, I sort and fold my laundry on my bed, any laundry belonging to others is placed on the their bed, or in a laundry basket in their room ( even guests like grown children and their families).

I like Beverly’s placement much better.

I don’t like a big bare wall around a TV, so would add art.

Those are just to show an idea of placement, I’m not suggesting that exact art or white frames. You could do any frame color, any amount of art, any type of wall hanging, baskets, etc.

Search ’art around TV’ for lots of ideas.

If you have children, you probably want more closed storage space. That wall can be an accent color with a simple-to-do molding pattern to make it interesting.
Or you can add art or family photos.

These happen to be green, but you get the idea.

It might be useful to try a longer, lower TV console. Then you can add chairs on both sides or a plant on one and a chair on the other. Here is one of our designs which might help more.
