my 22 year old DCS stove simmer port tube broke off, probably from years of moisture and it rusted. the new part is $200 plus service call. Also broiler doesnt work. I'm guessing it is the ignitor.

does it pay to spend $6-900 on an older stove or just cut my losses and get a new expensive high end stove? I have read that the life of most high end stoves are 20-25 years

the ignitor has been replaced about 9 year ago
