That was a BIG plant!

I know that parts of my garden are just gettting their second wind, but there are some plants that are just old and ready to stop. It will be interesting to see what continues to Christmas and what dies.

We are in town now (after 33 years out in the boonies) and we don't get as many freezes. BUT our beds start getting shaded about now and all we can do are chard, kale, lettuce, radish maybe beets and carrots. Haven't had much luck with them!

Still have an Early girl and San Marzano plant. I'm done with sauce, as I don't use much, but I'm thinking a nice tomato/bread soup and grilled cheese is in our near future!

I've pulled most of my tomato plants from my 70 gallon stock tanks (3/tank). It's amazing how huge their root systems were. Unfortunately, the weather was too funky for them and they weren't as productive as usual. Although my 2 Sun sugar cherries were unbelievable!! So sad to say goodbye (or rather goodnight?) to our plants until next year.
