We are going to add an L shaped addition in the front of our house to add bedroom and bathroom (can’t go on the sides because we’re too close to water. The existing wavy asbesto siding is in good shape and we’re planning to paint it white, or off white to match new hardie board siding on addition. Of course they don't make this same shape but they have many options and we’re trying to decide what will look best- or the least weird! Should we go close to same dimensions with wide plank? Or narrower? Or vertical??? Or??? I almost think close to the same might look worse - like it just doesn't match and that something obviously different would be better but it is a small house so not sure. The plan is to add porch as well. Photo is the front and the addition will go where that entry way is. The drawing is not exact but just including so you can see the wrap around porch and addition will go on. Any ideas welcome!
