Did you see this conversation? It’s from a few monts ago, and I referenced it in a post earlier this week. But, it is not so much about current models in the US. It does seem that time isn’t the only factor, but effectiveness of drying. Sounds like it can take a long time and still have to be hung up to finish drying.

We have a Miele T1 heat pump dryer with 6000 hours on the clock. Zero problems. Most loads are dry in an hour or less when spun at 1600rpm. Would buy another if needed.

Towels take a little long, but usually 70min or less.

It is is a compact size unit, but works fine for our family of 14 people.

Another vote for the T1, most loads dry in about an hour. I would only look for a heat pump dryer, also have a Little Giant condenser dryer. These have much longer dry times, more maintenance, and have very hot drying temps- even when gentle option is selected. I only use the condenser for sheets and heat resistant items. Heat pump is gentle and quick, use that one for clothes and towels- most of the wash really.
