Is door to left of bed the closet or entry to room? I see the door to right is bath. That separate area to left of bed looks like an obvious place for sitting room with swivel chairs, maybe a TV. Or, an office set up if you need one & there isn’t a separate office in home. Or, even an exercise set up that can be screened off so it’s hidden from view from bed. Please provide some dimensions of that separate nook & a picture into it as well as dimensions of entire room & a picture of the room standing at head of bed. That’ll generate more useful suggestions for you.

Never put exercise equipment or office in a bedroom, regardless of how large the room is.

is that your only option for the bed placement?

I'd find a very large area rug you absolutely love to anchor the bed. enough to walk around the bed on. away from the wall, (infront of bedside furniture.

    White bed linens.

inset blinds on all the windows for light control AND Sheer/textured neutral drapery panels at ceiling height and beyond the window trim. on all windows to improve the acoustics in the room, you'll want a quiet oasis.

keep it sparse and simple, a quiet retreat.

With the neutral colours you have so far your options are numerous. White linen is always nice with accent thow and pillows. I see you have nothing in your Ideabook so I suggest you start one or gather photos of things you like. If you post some of your ideas, you'll get more suggestions.

    Here are some general suggestions:

    - Hang draperies on each side of the windows for more warmth

    - Install a large rug under the bed

    - Hang a chandelier (you seem to have wires hanging above the bed)

    - You also seem to have room for a bench at the end of the bed

    - Art on the wall is always nice

    - You'll need side table but I presume you also plan for other furniture pieces

Why is the bed not centered between the windows?

Here are some general images of large bedrooms that have bachelor chests acting as nightstands on either side of the bed below the windows.

Here are a few bedrooms designs we thought might help you figure out how you want to decorate your bedroom. Please look to the lighting options, bedding, night stands, rugs, mirrors, and window treatments.

I would try the bed on the longest wall in the room with out windows if possible....the windows provide such a pretty seating area. Good luck....lovely bed!

The layout of your bedroom looks very nice! Regarding the curtains, you could choose curtains in a color that complements your gray bed, such as light blue or soft pink, or opt for curtains in a neutral shade like beige or cream.
