I'm confused by what you stated - you are not getting all new fronts now and are trying to match the old bottoms with the new shaker tops? If so, then no, I don't think they work together. Purchase new doors for your lower cabinets and possibly for your drawer fronts too but you might be able to get away with the drawer fronts not matching.

No, unfortunately that does not work. You have created a much larger project for yourselves. Both fronts are fairly common styles, which a custom cabinet guy should be able to replicate. Check Barker doors. Your cheapest option is probably to buy Ikea boxes and have doors made for the uppers.

Waht were the uppers like before ? Who suggested new cabinets ? I think I need to know if just the doors were changed or you actually got new cabinets.I need to see the whole space too. IMO those 2 style do not work together.

That’s the way you need to go. All new cabs…both uppers and lowers. Piecemeal just doesn’t work.

Any kitchen renovation needs a real plan…whether the scope of the project is large, or small…high end, or the other end of the spectrum. Don’t do anything further, until you have one.

What little I can see of the floor makes it look like a bigger problem than the cabinets, although I do agree with the previous commenters - those two door styles do not work together. How is the layout of the kitchen as a whole? I'm thinking you should have gone for a complete remodel.

Thank you for all of the comments. I will return the upper cabinets and work harder to find something that matches the lower cabinets. In answer to other questions, we are planning to do a complete remodel (flooring, appliances, etc.). When we bought the lower cabinets, a couple of years ago, however, we weren't planning on doing a complete remodel, so that's why we are in the position we're in. The flooring is really old and bad and definitely will not stay. 😄 Thanks so much again for the advice.

Replace the upper cabinets and doors and just get new doors for bottom so it all matches. The bottom ones need to go even though two years old as they will never properly match top.

Possibly--shop FB Mktplace, Craigslist, etc. for used raised panel cabinets. Raised panel cabinet doors are not in favor--a fact that works in your favor because not a few of them are being pulled out and replaced in remodels. As long as it is a 5 piece door with a raised panel, it will blend in much better than the Shaker panel one in your photo.

Remove a drawer front or cabinet door to take to the paint store to get a color match to the new cabs.

If you are hesitant, then try to turn up a raised panel cabinet door to experiment with. (Should be easy enough to find in the used marketplace.) Get a paint match and hold it up over an existing cabinet.

Back up. Sit down, and figure out what you have spent thus far.

Is it long term life altering? Will you never be able to vacation or retire? How long are you planning to remain in the house? Do you love the layout of this kitchen?

You bought lower cabinets, you bought quartz. You did it all over far too long a span of time, and in piecemeal, out of order fashion. Usually, this is a case of not knowing, what you don't know.

My advice? Lesson learned . Show the whole of the kitchen. Make a drawing with very accurate measurements - flat , 2 dimensions. every single inch. Passages , openings , all of it.

Clean up the drywall splash, paint it and don't spend another cent. Get a good plan ( layout ) on paper, ......and start over. New.

If that is two years from now while you save? Then it is.

We still have work to do (paint, cabinet pulls, etc.). Thanks to your comments, we ended up putting in all matching cabinets. I’m glad I asked! This will eventually be a rental, so we didn’t want to do anything too high-end, but it is much better than it was!
