My best, most reliable tea, easily in the top ten of all roses I've grown. Bloom size is medium, at about 3"; shrub size is huge, at least 10' x 12'. There are hundreds of blooms in each flush (as many as 40 blooms per inflorescence), it repeats quickly, and it always looks good. I can definitely see it as part of the 'Lamarque'/"Westside Road Cream Tea"/"Jesse Hildreth" tribe, i.e., descendents of 'Park's Yellow Tea-scented China' -- like 'Lamarque' in a bushy form. It is more yellow in cooler temps, more white or even blush when hot.

@rosaprimula UK (Cambridge) Z8/9 It absolutely is. The plants of it that were at the Old City Cemetery in Sacramento, which inspired me to get this one, were equally awesome. In this climate, it's just a naturally great rose, no effort required..

Truly spectacular, catspa, as is the rest of your garden from what I can glimpse of it from your first photo. I don't know that I have room for such a huge rose, but no doubt it will be smaller in my climate and soil. I do have Lamarque, which doesn't have enough room probably, but it does have a house wall behind it to clamber on. My dream is a wild, cottage-type garden similar to what I had before, but to have any rose blooming on my property will be an absolute delight.
