My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Update on the garden experiment to protect against the cold

It's a balmy 38 out there and I just unbundled the winter lettuces and the cabbages. A Christmas miracle! All in great shape, not even freezer burned. Night temps ranged from 5 below to 8 above for 3 nights with days in the low teens.

The hay really insulated them, the plastic kept them dry from the rain that preceded the low temps.

Well worth the little extra effort.


Happy New Year all, and may it be a better year than the last few.
