My narrow pantry (solid maple slab look with wood shelves) is between the fridge and the wall. My pulls are matte black and only come in a standard 5" size. Is this 5" size ok, or do I need to go with a longer size? The pantry is built with heavy duty tracks, and I plan to use the shelves for canned goods, bottled goods and cardboard boxes of food. I am just uncertain if a standard pull is adequate, or if for structural reasons I need to go with something longer. The photos below are similar to what I have.

#1 This is very close to mine as far as the shelf construction. This one looks like it just uses the standard pulls from the rest of the kitchen.

I also found some that look like they used a heavy duty 18" appliance pull. Although I am very interested in the aesthetics, I need to first concentrate on structural issues. Is there a difference on how well/easily the pantry will pull out based on how far apart the holes are drilled for a handle?
