Design Dilemma Kitchens Lighting

Linear chandelier over island

We are having a very hard time finding something long enough to make sense over our island but “shallow” enough to fit our low ceilings (85”)
Do you think a chandelier that is 63” long is appropriate for a 110” island?
(We cannot do pendants because part of the ceiling over the island vaults, making spacing of pendants pretty impossible. We have to use a linear chandelier)

chandelier is a statement fixture. Lower ceilings dont facilitate the look of that . I might look at a snake shape trac fixture. You will gain with directional sockets and nice amount of lumens depending on which fixture you pick. Trac lites conjure up images from 1980's but not necessarily the case with Led's and various other things now. These have a bit of a drop....gets the light a bit closer ...might be what they are doing now w LED track.
