Hi all, I'm not sure if the Rose ID forum thingy is still up, haven't been on here much for a while. I thought it would be better to post here (Houzz mobile is also hell to navigate and use, really).
I wanted to ask if anyone recognized this rose. It's a yellow climber, for sure a modern but likely not recent. It arches and reaches about 20 ft.
Notice how the petals flute.
Mostly single flowered. Not a crazy amount of petals.
Faint fragrance. A little unusual, tea, violety-ish. Red stamen.
The leaves are very variable, often they are a very very handsome ultra dark green. But they also come up an olivine shade, I don't think it is deficiency or chlorosis, they look quite uniformly coloured.
It makes hips as seen in the pictures. They stay green from the most part.
Low in thorns. The ones it has are hooked and make a wide angle.
A little susceptible to black spot, mildew, and thrips love the blooms (what do you know, a large flowered yellow climber with ailments, crazy, eh?
Would appreciate any input you may have and it's nice to be on here again and see you guys are still having fun in here. :)
