Do I go thru effort to put washer on riser in a tight space?

We have pulled everything from a full bath with laundry to redo the flooring. We are not tackling the painting and cabinets at this time. We are replacing the vanity which was larger than our needs. My questions are do I go thru the effort to put my washer and dryer on drawers I got at a yard sale, build a riser or leave on the floor? Drawers match color but not brand so I will have to add something so they sit level I did this with the dryer and was a pain and not sure how with the washer since so much heavier. Also - best sink for a laundry/bathroom? We want to put in a 30-36 vanity. Thanks for ideas.

Can't stack - not enough height. But doesn't that only get the dryer higher. I would like them both off the ground a bit so I don't have to stand on my head! :)

Can't stack without taking down cabinets - L shape room and not able to change the current layout of space. I am not looking for more floor space just want to get them both off the floor to make doing laundry easier for my older body. Thanks for the thoughts though.

If you stack them you'd have to wait for any kids to be pretty tall to learn laundry, and some kids (and adults) will never be that tall. Maybe not a concern for you but it is in general, and for resale.

If the drawers put the machines at a good height for you, then use them (or build risers, or build risers that you can slip the drawers under, or whatever it takes!). It's worth the effort. And having the machines at the same height is definitely an upgrade, too.
