Bird of Paradise new leaf

My 3 year old accidently ran into and bent the new leaf emerging from my BOP and it tore a little bit. Will it recover and continue to grow?
im being optimistic about it as i know this plant in natire is probably prone to a lot worse. jjst nervous and anxious about it as this is the first one ive owned.
