Sorry, but I don't see any reference to the issues you describe.

Even Amazon has high reviews for this tub, so what are you talking about? American Standard has been in business for 100+ years. They wouldn't sell this tub and drain through so many sources if there was an issue.

Thanks. The tub is fine. (And your devotion to the American Standard brand is admirable.) But if you re-read what I wrote more carefully, you will see that it’s the separately sold drain/overflow assembly that I was discussing, and which is universally panned. That’s what i was referring to with the model # that i provided above.

I don't care for those types of drains. The tub has a standard drain outlet. You can get a drain from any manufacturer UNLESS you want to do white, then you are better staying with the brand.

I happen to like the toe tap drains

You just have to make sure to get one tall enough for your tub.

Hi everyone! Curious what drain kit you all went with for American Standard tub? Are you pleased with it?

We are considering the Americast Princeton or maybe the AS Studio tub, but concerned about the terrible reviews for the AS drain kit!
