I think you can, but you can also use porcelain ‘pavers’ designed for exteriors. I wanted to use Daltile Xteriors collection, when I was researching my new patio, but I didn’t have the budget for the concrete pad. Check it out here https://www.daltile.com/xteriors. I’m sure there are other brands.
