They both look nice...you have a good eye; your space looks good. I kind of prefer the contrast of the vase on the white table, though. The white table might be a little casual for the space and I'm not sure I love the mix of the black legs on the bench with the natural wood, so maybe a light colored table like the black one instead? Sweet pics!

IMO too much decor for a small space the bench is really not useable without removing the pillows certainly no need for a throw there and I never like family pics in public spaces and for sure not in entries. As for the side table I need to see the whole entry/ I like the black and is tat an actual real plant ?

@olychick thank you for your advice :) i was liking the contrast of white too but iffy on the legs. I think i was trying to make it tie to the console table i have across from it that has baskets with a similar tone. I think I’ll try to find one that has darker legs. Thank you again :)

@patriciacolwellconsulting which areas are appropriate for pictures? If i remove pillows and throw, would the space be too empty? Or would you suggest a larger bench?

Some people hate everything everyone posts on these forums, so sometimes it's easier to ignore them.

I prefer a more simple look in an entry. See how you feel with the rust cushion on its own, remove table and put pottery on the floor. If not high enough, could place in s short stand.

I think you have a lovely vignette. Your picture light is brilliant choice for this spot. I prefer the black end table because it anchors the whole look. You could put architectural black and white pictures in the existing frames. Generally, I like family photos along Hallways where one can stop and look more specifically at each photo and share some memories! But your choice. The way your photos seem to be on a “side view” to guests entering, you can get away with it if you wish. It’s your house!

I think that normally folks are encouraged to put their own personal touch on their home. Right up until they hang family pictures. What? Personally, I find this a lovely entryway and introduction to your home. The pics are precious. I would probably choose the lighter table— in color and presence. Great eye!

Too much stuff for me. It’s nice stuff, to be sure, but too much. I don’t know how anybody would ever sit on the bench because it’s full already. I guess the throw adds color, but the pillows are unnecessary.

I like the black table and the dark vase but I’d find another home for the white thing.

As far as family pictures, that’s a can of worms. Personally, I don’t, but whatever floats your boat is fine by me.

My reason for not liking family pics in more public spaces is that those spaces often have strangers in them even for a short time and it seems there are a huge number of creeps out there. I like family pics in hallways leading to bedrooms hung like a gallery that you can add to overtime as the kids grow. In the space you have maybe some great shots of a holiday scenery for instance . I do not mind the bench if it is really useable for removing and putting on shoes but to me if not functional maybe some different decor but I need to see how the sapce looks from the front door.
