Electrical Wiring DIY Porches & Decks

patio speakers with volume control

I want to install pair of speakers on patio with exterior volume control. Trying to find best way to conceal or hide wires between where they go outside and speakers. House is stucco with brick chimney along the way. We also have alumawood patio cover. I’m trying to do it myself

A photo of your space would be helpful. Ours are below the egress deck - receiver is just inside for controlling volume. Many systems can be adjusted via remote.

1. What will the speakers be connected to inside the house? How far away is it?
2. Are the speakers powered or unpowered?
3. If they're powered, how will electricity be provided to them?
4. Would you consider wireless, outdoor speakers?
5. Would you consider adjusting the volume regarding an app or do you require a physical volume control?
