What backsplash and flooring to install?

Just upgraded our basement kitchen cabinets and countertop. I need to pick some backsplash tiles. This kitchen will be used by us, by family when visiting and maybe as a airbnb sometimes. I was thinking of something that stands out a bit.


Floors will be a wide plank lvp. Maybe coretec Ravenswood. Looking for suggestions here. My flooring store has coretec, twelve oaks and a few other brands.


On the other end of this room i have a black picket tiled fireplace.


Thoughts on backsplash and flooring?

    Concrete:

    Silvan can be installed on almost any

    subfloor (i.e. wooden floors or cement

    concrete floors). Ensure that subfloor

    is level, flat, dry and clean. Any imper-

    fections in the subfloor greater than

    1/16” over 6’ length should be either

    smoothed with patching or leveling

    compound or ground/sanded down

    mechanically.

    • Concrete subfloors must be hard,

    dense, and free from powder or
