Have you had dark floors before? They need a robot vacuum system because everything shows up. There are good options for non-yellow non red light options. Bona Red Out anyone? (houzz.com)

Use Jacobean poly shade, may need a coupleof coats.

Every scratch shows the lighter floor below.But it is better than removing more life from the floor by sanding off another layer. Better still is to come to terms with the floor you have. It cannot be as bad as you think.

I personnaly do it, when clients want to adjust Just abrade the floor and apply it. Real easy if, the installer knows what they are doing. Blend in the cut edge and lap marks.
