At what night time temperature lows do you take your unripe and half ripe tomatoes and peppers off the vines ? Is it 50degrees F (10 degrees C), or can they tolerate a few lower degrees for several nights? I will ripen them indoors if I have to, but don't enjoy the flavor as much as vine ripened .... I'd still like to take advantage of some warmer day time temperature ahead, as long as possible. The tomatoes are tall, sprawling indeterminate tomatoes, not easy to cover.
