In my opinion, the color flooring that you have now would be better with your inspo picture than either of the two options you are looking at.

your cabinet work will be a bit involved. Have you ever waxed wood? do you know how much of a poly coat is remaining on the cabs? Have you cleaned the cabs? Wax needs to penetrate. I have used briwax but not as a method to alter the color. It gives lustre and a fairly durable finish. If you think perhaps a sanding then staining or gelstaining would be better to get a color change ...then you'd have to know that as the alternative to waxing because wax wont be flexible to go back and do other things . the difference between what you have and what your inspir pic shows is considerable. Better work on getting a solution of some sort for the cabs... that you have actually achieved with a trial on an area. then when you have the outcome move on to the floor pick. As said...clean thoroughly first and assess what coatings are on those.

a good freshen up of honey oak is sometimes a very reasonable solution / fix the worn surfaces

as opposed to alteration...then move on to other changes you have in mind. [ no mosaics tho']

Neither color of flooring go with your cabinets. Both are way too dark. The floor you already have is a good color for your cabinets.

Please, please do not change your wood floors for LVP. Stripey stripey stripey. And busy. And plastic. Your concern about the pink undertone is nothing compared to the awful outcome of those LVP floors.

Re the cabinets, I don't know that the Briwax will give you what you hope. To find out, I would use it on a small unobtrusive area of cabinet in your kitchen, and see if it does what you want (without blotchiness), and whether whatever change you get on that sample will be worth the work.

Re the counters, you could lighten up things with a light Quartz, or a light granite might go better in your kitchen. With the Quartz, you have to be careful with the white shade - there are so many white Quartzes, of different shades, it can be challenging.

Is your current backsplash the same granite at 3-4" high? If so, and you change to Quartz, will you have same type of low backsplash, or something like your inspo photo with tile meeting the counter, or something else?

M Miller, if these were actual wood floors i wouldnt dare change them!! these are old cheap laminate floors that have chipped and separated in some spots (not seen in photos). eventually i would like to get rid of the small backsplash and do tile meeting the counter.
