1) How far does it stick out?

2) Would it be possible to have a carpenter/handyman remove studs at the back of the space so that the refrigerator can sit deeper in the cavity?

By how much does it stick out? Can you show what will be on either side of the fridge? Most fridges stick out some unless you specifically purchase a counter depth fridge. Counter depth fridges are more expensive and have a somewhat smaller capacity. Have you found a fridge that you know works better for the space?

HI, I thought depth would be pretty standard for Base cabinets. So you would think refrigerates would be a standard depth. The refrigerator has to be a little deeper so

you can open the door. I measured my built in. The base cabinet is 24 inchers deep, the countertop is 26 inches, and the refrigerator is 30 inches deep including the door. Hope it helps.
