I need to see the space . Waht other lighting is in thre ? A good tsble lamp can be perfect or a good floor lamp with a head that can be adjusted but lighting ia multi level item so not just spots of light but overall good lighting and in an office a must.

Hi @patricia!

Here is a pic of the planned space.

We are hoping to mount something on the shelf/ledge above the couch on the wall below the cabinet.

We cannot use under cabinet lighting because the cabinets are too shallow.

If it is on the wall it needs to be above the ledge behind the couch (the ledge has foundation wall inside so we cannot get power there.

You can use a sconce - a plug in sconce, or you can adapt a hardwire sconce with a puck light.

Another idea could be a book light.

Hi @freedomplace1

What do you mean by a book light? Just a light attached to a book?

Yes, Nate A. a light that you can attach to a book, etc. Very handy. Shines light directly on the page.
