We have a mediterranean style house and must replace our 35-yr old French terracotta flooring due to water and other damage; approximately 850 s.f. The tile goes from the entryway through powder room, laundry room, kitchen, dining area. I love the look of the original terracotta and am trying to find vendors; have found one in Italy; still looking in the U.S. It needs to be extremely well sealed after installation. The French style we have is smooth and hard finish and durable, not rough like "Cotto" I have found.

I'd also like to see if there is a terracotta-lookalike in porcelain that mimics the look of the French terracotta in our rosy/rusty orange tones (it's not deep red), one doesn't look so fake. Any leads? Many thanks!
