I think folks are going to need a layout, but looking at your photo, I'd want that TV almost anywhere but above the fireplace. I think it belongs on that empty wall.

Failing that, just put a large piece of art there, and an end table with a lamp for the sofa.

The living room is long and narrow with the ”hallway/walkway from the front entry leading theoigh it to the kitchen on the left and windows along the entire back wall. above the fireplace is the only place thag acrually makes sense unfortunately :/ i can grab another pic from the stairs later but the sofa is a big sectional so even if we moved the tv itd be hanging over it, which is counter productive

I think an end table with a table lamp would look nice at that end of the sofa. Or if you don't want a table, then a floor lamp.

I would hang the two mirrors you have in there and some other large pictures or art, maybe get a Baker's Rack in the center of the wall and put some plants on it and hang the mirrors on each side and some other pics or photos or art as well.

Other than that, I agree with @izeve about just using a table lamp or floor lamp there. And I think I lean toward a floor lamp. Lamps are important, to give you ambient lighting at eye level.

Since there are no pics that actually depict the room conditions, it's possible your room would have benefited from a different layout. It could have included a larger TV screen.

The room is completely open to the kitchen with the walkway slighty separating them. the room is narrow so that arrangement actually wouldnt work - we have tried everything.
