How would you like to use this generous square footage (how many square feet). If this is the main entry do you need a place for coats, umbrellas, shoes, a console to drop keys and bags? Or is this a formal greeting area for special events where you may need to place welcoming items, flowers, maybe use for event space like a house cocktail party or reception? Answer some of these questions so the PROS can give dirction.

No it is not needed for a greeting area we have plenty of room in the LR for mingling etc I want it to make a statement but be warm and welcoming, yes, will be a place for shoes on and off. Jackets, umbrellas etc

This space just needs some more color and interest. Warm wood colors, a larger piece of art work perhaps on the large wall. I can't say for sure if I would put a large open bookcase on that wall because I wouldn't want to make it too busy. The photos show what is seen after entering, what is seen directly ahead when entering the space from outside?

I am a bit confused. Is there a coat closet and shoe storage in entry? How would you address coats, piles of shoes, umbrellas with the elegant and mostly decorative inspo pics that are being shown?

I’m Florida, you don’t need coat closet/storage so don’t need large furniture. You need a bench to possibly slip shoes on and off. I would tie in style of an entry table to your furnishings in the main gathering room. A sculptural table would be wonderful. A rug in same shape as table top would bring warmth. Big bowl with high quality faux plants or cluster of orchids would be welcoming.

If you can post the measurements of this space, it will help us find items for you. My first instinct is the rug is too small, the table isn’t doing much and you need some color.

Lighter woods look great in Florida setting. Just don’t go “kitchy” Florida.

Check out Facebook Marketplace in your area. Might find round dining table that would work.

There are so many ways you can decorate and use this space, but it doesn't exist in a vacuum and none of us here know what other spaces it leads into and what furniture you plan to use in those rooms.

Maybe an open table base, so you can store some stools under it for some extra seating.

Wallpaper on walls and/or ceiling would make a statement. You can go wild with pattern/color or more subdued with texture from a neutral grass cloth.

This is a bit too "shiny" for me, but gives you an idea of other furniture you can use in a foyer/hallway space.

Been playing with some ideas. Of course, need more info from you but my thought is light and breezy with some black for grounding and contrast. Big but light chandelier would reflect Florida vibe without being too typical. You can choose color palette of course but with what looks like marble flooring, a rug is needed and an upholstered bench would add texture which brings warmth.

Well I was pleasant surprise in visiting the space again it is not as large as I thought. There are two doors that close so that it breaks up the big space and leaves u with an area for shoes, umbrella stand , coat tree or what have u that way u are able to leave the space where the round table is solely for looks , I love the two light wood tables wood tables that were suggested here! I also agree with large artwork , and a larger round rug. Once we close Feb 8 I can get measurements! I appreciate all of your awesome suggestions, a lot of great advice and food for thought!
