I hadn't got as far as how to apply it. The existing wall is some kind of cheap wall board with a faded paper wood pattern from the 60. I might want to rebuild that entire wall, anyway, as it doesn't go up to the ceiling and it divides a bedroom from the living room.

Lone Fox on Youtube recently posted a video of a DIY of a small area between his bedroom and bathroom. He used the same wood on the walls as he used on the floor, and it’s gorgeous. You may want to search for the video to see how he did it.

The OP said they found the floor in the basement. I am not sure they are using it in the basement. They will not need waterproof if it is being applied over finished walls.
