I don’t think you have a grasp of the scale of the foyer. Your items fade into the walls and do not command attention. No trees at the entrance. You just don’t have the room. You could consider metal demi lune wall hanging shelves below the sconces.

Your house is quite beautiful. I like the suggestions from Beverly for a table at the entryway. Her posted ones are more elegant and fit the style of your house.

You do need an entryway rug. The space is large and a rug adds to the feel of it being its own space. Just a couple of ideas for something traditional. If you have a color you want to bring in, like green or blue, the entryway rug should echo those colors. I see cream and black so I thought of these.

We've seen a lot of entry ways in Houzz and this one is NOT sad. It is lovely.

Let the architecture be the star IMO.

Since 1, 2 and 3 are similar in design, I vote for whichever has the deepest brass color. I don’t think a bright “yellow” brass works with your pretty creamy walls. And your sconces.

I think that is number 1. I agree.

And the twist in the legs is a nice feature.

I hope it will go with the sconces. I can always paint them. I took out the tree and am looking for new ottomans and a rug.

We are also re-flooring with a much lighter color and real wood. Not sure what I was thinking on LVP🤦‍♀️

Don’t buy any rugs if you’re thinking of changing your floors. We can look for less expensive ones if you like, but the floor color matters A LOT.

Agree with HUxx210 above. These are more farmhouse modern than the more sophisticated look you’d want with your carpet and dramatic trim work.

Yes. Those are actually not the one I chose but close. I’m definitely staying away from grey. So I should look for a richer color without a lot of knots and striations?

Slightly better. Can you go more warm-brown? You have a traditional home and your floors looking too “modern” will be a huge (not-so-good) contrast. This is warmer looking for your house.

I agree but the house is to dark. We live in Seattle and our living room and kitchen is out of the sun most of the day so I am trying to go lighter.

The warmer golden one looks perfect…will bring in a sunny glow in the winter..plus the seam in the plank looks more real

It seems to me if you are replacing the floor in the entry, you'll be replacing it throughout other rooms. Perhaps you should share pictures of those rooms as well. Maybe it's my monitor, but your door and stair handrail look black, and your furniture in the room beyond looks gray, as does the fireplace. I think you'd need to be very careful if you go more brown on the floor. Are you planning to paint as well?

That makes a huge difference as real wood will not have the same continuity ….in color…and in grain patterns..let alone be easily available in such wide planks….

You have a CLASSICALLY DESIGNED HOME based on the few images I have seen. Your floors should have a timeless finish unless you are looking to do a California Classic solution for your home & then the Ivory Oak would be a possibility.

Maybe a bit formal because of all the details in the home and on the walls. Perhaps the light finish floor washes out your rooms.

This is a huge investment. You need to 'try on the floors' to see which ones work in your home. Here are a few examples.

I guess this table could work provided it's not too small. I might be tempted to hit it with some Buff n' Rub Bronze if it turns out to be too golden.

I found these at RH. $$$$ but it is available in bronze to coordinate with your sconce finish.

I like the darker walnut options for your house, for sure. Beverly explained it well - going light is more modern than the house you own. The deeper browns are beautiful. And yes, the tables come later. As would a rug.

When I went back to view your previous posts I was surprised to see how contemporary the Family/Living is furnished. If that is your direction for the rest of the home, why are you keeping the bronze Tuscan style sconces in the foyer that we’re all using as the style for the foyer? They work with the architecture of the home, but there’s nothing you’ve selected that leans tradition. Maybe the tables will be easier to find if you replace the sconces

Thank you. I am in Seattle. I’m not sure why I went so modern in the living room. I just ordered a new sofa and chairs that will be beautiful and not so modern. Big mistake not using a designer! I love the first and fourth picture of the new flooring. I really want to go light but I like the warmer tone as well. These two tables just came. Now do I paint the sconces, leave them or change them? I’m not sure when the flooring will be done. Maybe 2 months so I’m going to try and find a carpet in the meantime.

This one is interesting. Not sure if the white works with your trim color. There are some other options but not sure they are large enough for this space. What will you have on top of the tables?

I love all the ideas! I am going to paint the ones that are there and if it doesn’t work I will switch them out. I love the 2nd and 3rd!! These are the actual plants I found for the top of the tables.

Note:
The two tables do not need to have the exact same decor.
I think I’d do something different on each table. It’s too symmetrical otherwise. Feels too stoic and serious for me.
