It's not the house for multiple paint colors or accent walls.

You might consider a warmer white on the walls, and avoid the sea of gray seating and mud toned rugs and black accent furniture.

Start with that change, more art with color, more texture, window treatments etc.

Post some inspo of rooms you DO love.......

I think some of what you are feeling about it not being warm or done looking is that at least for the kitchen, it is so sleek and there is nothing on the counters. I know many of us, myself included, have to try to keep "stuff" off the counters but yours could use something. Even an orchid or a colorful bowl along with some of the "stuff" from daily life.

I do agree that you could use some more color and that the photos you shared are pretty dim.

It looks like a very nice space and with just a little bit of tweaking it will be just what you want.

IMO you need some color the stoolls blendinto the cabinets and floor everything in the kitchen and eating area are one blah color . Even a bowl of fruit on the counter could be a starting point. You have a piece of art pick a color from it for stools Therug in the LR BORING. Take that damn clock off the FP and replace with some COLOR All that will make the space feel more like home long before going to the PITA to paint If those palnts are fake they belong in the trash.Some pillows on the sofe in colors from the new rug. You need more lighting in the LR. If the kitchen needs more lighting a table lamp on the counter is not how it gets better. Change the bulbs in the kitchen fixtures to LED 4000K and see if that helps that very dark space IMO you need pots lights and lots of them in that kitchen the track is too high to really do its job at all.

first, I would put the sofa along the stair wall, the chairs and table at the windows along with the plants, more natural to have plants near natural light source.

The biggest thing you can do, is add some color, and some window treatments. It looks cold, and uninteresting, and unlived in. Some nice window treatments, some art with color, some couch pillows with color, and rug, with some color, some color in your kitchen (which looks almost sterile), would be much more appealing.
