How to choose a better builder in Vic !?

Hello people !! My husband and i are planning to build our 1st home in Fraser rise , victoria. It is a corner block and west orientation. We have zeroed on 2 home designs from Henley and Orbit homes. The final quotations are 15k different on base price , Henley being the cheaper one in comparison.
Pros from Henly homes :
All solar appliances with 16 panels and 1 inverter. This also includes refrigerator heating and cooling in the quote.
Includes raked ceiling in the living
Cons from Henley :
No option for facade.
Pros Orbit homes :
Vast variety of facade options
Large pantry as compared to henley design
Bigger home as compared to henley design.
Could you guys help us with what all upgrades are important and to watch out for future purposes ( resale value).
And if you can help us with the quality of the build between these two builders.

Consider having a local architect design a home with you that meets your needs, fits your site, and has all the "pros" of the other houses.

I would look for homes they have built recently and go knock on the owner's doors. Most people are happy to talk about how good or bad their building experience was. Many will even invite you in for a tour. Ask questions about quality, fit and finish, how they corrected mistakes, were they on schedule, surprise charges, overall budget, etc.

The last time I was invited into a house was when I was looking at pavers, so 2021 ... I believe that is still the current century! Helps if you are a woman! Show up well dressed, in a nice car and I never had a problem being invited in for a tour. The paving company gave me the address of a house that had used a certain paver. When I pulled up the owner, a woman, happened to be outside. Told her why I stopped, started to ask about her pavers, got into building discussions and then got invited to see the whole house renovation they had just completed. Sat on her sofa talking for about 45 minutes and had a lovely talk. Thanked her for her time and went on my way.
